Google apps email : laggy ?

Hi there
Is google apps email a bit laggy, compared to say Hosted exchange(hosted in NZ)
It just seemed laggy to me ,especially when starting Outlook, on a PC I looked at (they had good internet speeds)

Any advantage with Google Apps Email a/c, other than low cost ?

It's not clear from your post what you mean by 'laggy'

It sounds like it is connected via Outlook (rather than the web interface).

Do you know if it uses the Google Apps connector, or IMAP? Outlook is notoriously bad/slow with IMAP connections, which is not a fault of Google Apps.

My primary email account is on Google Apps, but I mostly use the web app - which I find perfectly fine

Im finding Gmail laggy if that is what you mean.

I use the web app because I actually find it quicker.

If you like using Outlook then maybe switch to Office 365?
