Hi,
I am in my final semester of ICT Course. We have a Project/Internship program that we need to complete in our University (CPIT). Are there any IT companies that offer IT Internship programs for students in New Zealand? If so please advise

Thanks & Regards,
Anvesh

I take it thats similar to a graduate program?

Depending on the field we are on the lookout usually.

From my experience - Internships are not the same as Grad programme. In a Grad Programme you are considered an employee of the company hired as a full time employment contract basis. Internships usually last for the duration of the semester of the course and may not necessarily be full time or equivalent compensation.

Yes Kull, I agree for that. I cannot work as a Full time Employee as I will be still a student. Also particular internship should get over within the semester.

Just a tad. A lot of those internships on that website closed during September sometime, some even closed as early as August.

Yeah that's bad from my part. Most of the summer internships are closed. Waiting for the Feb 2015 internship programs.

I think you might be a bit late, most programs are probably closed by now.

Check out the Microsoft Student Accelerator program which hooks up students to companies, currently running in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch: http://www.microsoft.co.nz/msa

Check out the Microsoft Internship programs here: http://careers.microsoft.com/careers/en/nz/student.aspx

Also look up Summer Of Tech http://www.summeroftech.co.nz/

That link was fantastic. But I missed the bus by an inch :( this year. All the applications for students closes by Sept 2014. Thanks a Ton for the links. They are very useful.

We've been doing stuff with www.summeroftech.co.nz

You're too late this year (programme has almost finished and interns will be made offers soon), but worth looking at for next years intake.

Some great people there. Highly recommended.  They've been wellington based before, but this year have expanded to Auckland.
