Tried to set up OneDrive on my Windows 7 PC. Was first asked to set up a Microsoft account which I did , with email address using @outlook.com, then a password as required. My address and password were accepted OK but then I was unable to log in. Kept getting the message that it was not correct etc etc. Microsoft Help just told me to create another account, but same thing happened again. Can anyone please help? I am obviously missing something here. Dropbox was so easy to set up in comparison, but I need to be able to edit documents, not just see them. Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly from yesterday, the error was just that either my email or passord was incorrect (having already accepted it) and then my entry of that stupid series of numbers and letters was incorrect, although it was exactly correct each time.

I am under the impression you are having problems with the OneDrive application. Have you accessed onedrive.com from a browser using this account, to make sure you can login there first? Or is that where you are getting these errors?

Have you downloaded onedrive for business, rather than the basic onedrive.

I haven't got as far as actually setting up OneDrive. My problem is with setting up my Microsoft outlook.com email address and password. I couldn't get any further because it won't let me log in with the one I put in, although it said that address was available.

Fyi

You don't need to use outlook.com you can quite happily use an existing email address as a Microsoft Account

Please provide the exact error message when creating the account.

You haven't accidentally created a myname@outlook.co.nz address when your were intending to make a myname@outlook.com address?
