anyone currently using this for cloud backup of a 2012 R2 Essentials or other server?

intrested in how much data and costs and overall experience.

Yes with Server 2012 R2 Essentials at home lab. Works as advertised. I have switched my backup vault to Australia East (Sydney) from Southeast Asia DC (Singapore) couple of days ago. Upload speed is even faster. I have noticed that I get charged far less for the amount of data I upload to Azure storage vault. I believe they compress data heavily when you upload which is a plus for me in terms of saving costs.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Thanks for that, was thinking AUS EAST woud be the location to choose. Are you backing up the complete server to Azure or just Data? I assume the backup is incremental so the actual monthly traffic charges once you have a full backup on Azure would be minimal? What kind of monthly cost would we be lookin at?

To determine cost you need to know how much data
