Anyone know what is going on with Domains4less and its sister companies that come under Internet Services Group Ltd?  Have had horrendous problems with Domains4less over the last week.  There was a tgime when their support was reasonable but those days seem to be gone.  One of my client's domains has been going in to suspension every morning for the last six days and they have managed to lock out the control panel access.  Each suspension requires a couple of very frustrating hours online dealing with very limited intellect and obtuse support people.

It appears that the problem occurred when they tried to upgrade Plesk on that server and have since rolled back.  But of course they will not admit that.  The fact that after six days they have not fixed the problem is just ever so slightly frustrating.  Of course you cannot talk to a real person on the phone, they have engineered that to perfection.  Finally this morning I rang one of the sister companies who do have a phone number and spoke to a person named "Tony" who refused to give me his last name and told me that they don't provide telephone support.  I advised him that I was no longer looking for support but rather wished to lodge a complaint with senior management.  What a clown this guy was.  The funniest part is that he told me it was illegal for me to be recording the call but was unable to cite any legislation to support that.

However the most concerning part of all this is that if you check the Companies office register, Internet Services Group Ltd was struck off the register on 31 August 2015, although the isgl.co.nz website still shows them trading as a limited liability company.  Anyone know anything about the two (former) directors Adrian Grant and Robert Rolls?

But the real issue that needs to be clarified is whether they are in trouble or not?  Perhaps the time has come to start moving domains away from all of their companies before it is too late?

I work for Digiweb, the company that now owns the D4L brand - Please PM me any ticket references and i'll follow up internally.  While the support on the D4L brand is limited, you shouldn't be experiencing the frustrations you've described for something as simple as domain registration/managemet.

I can confirm that the company isn't in trouble, the group is experiencing significant growth at the moment.  You're correct in that ISGL has been disestablished.  The brands under that holding company and the Digiweb group are currently being consolidated.

There have been a number of people on here (myself included) that have moved away from Domains4Less due to support issues.

I have no information or comment on their current operating situation (and from the above sounds like they are in transition), but moved all business away after support issues going unanswered for an extended period.

I did PM you as requested but it seems to have had little or no result and you did not answer my question.

Nobody expects stellar support from D4L but this is just rediculious, seven days on and still no resolution.

It's a few bucks more per year per domain but metaname has the best web control panel for domains in NZ imo.

I am beginning to think that this might well be the way to go.  I am sure that had I not posted comment on this fourm and attracted the appropriate attention I would be no further ahead.  As it is, seven days in the problems have not been completely resolved and no updates recieved today.  No doubt they think it is onloy one domain and so why bother looking after the client, but there are 100 or so others on there under various accounts and at this rate they will lose them all.

As it happens I phoned 1st Domains this morning.  Shame they did not answer their phone.

Is there anything that you need to call them for? Their web portal is pretty smart and porting over a domain is as simple as getting the udai from the current provider - unlike some providers you can simply bring it over at no charge you don't have to renew it the expiration date remains the same and it brings over the name servers and registrant details too.

What problems did you have. These things are pretty much all able to be fully managed online these days. One problem is that the margins on those domains are razor thin, when you are essentially buying them at wholesale rates.
