I have been using google docs for a while with one domain name and since office live beta is free at the moment, I am trialing it out too.

Which one do you like? Google recently has enabled offline access to their google docs too, which is funky for the mobile professionals.

What say you?

Edit: may be I should have given clearer information about what I am wanting to compare.

One cant really compare Google Doc Vs Office Live Workspace, they are totally different. If you expect Office Live Workspace to be same as Google docs, then you are wrong. Office Live Workspace enables the user to share, collaborate documents, presentations rather then it being an online editing tool. Unless you have Microsoft Office installed in your system, you wont be able to edit the documents.

And yea, I personally dont want my documents to be stored by a third party (Google). There is no guarantee that the document is preserver or backed up! Yell

"Beta" has, unfortunately, lost its realy meaning over the last 10 years. Google has not helped that either.

'Beta' became synonymous with being hip, cool, exclusive, new, special, cutting edge. So now its abused by companies and individuals seeking to have those attributes automatically applied to their product/service by tagging it with the word beta, long after the beta period is over, and it is actually in the 'release' or 'production' stage.

Most 'cool things' on the internet that are tagged 'beta' are in fact not :-( They are scamming your psyche, and laying waste to your sense of reality.

Er, excuse me. Isn't storing the document in the cloud exactly what Office Live does anyway?

Well that's the idea I am referring to. Storage and ability to pull documents down when needed hence the mobile worker remark.

With Google Docs you edit, store online - With Office Live Workspace you can edit locally, keep a copy of yourself, do everything and then publish it online too. Only now Google has come up with Google Gears.

Anyway they are both recent I just want to compare, looks like office live workspace has few more goodies. Anyone tried them?

I know exactly what the services do. My point is that you think "online storage" is flawed if no backup policy is available. The Office Live service doesn't necessarily solve this.
