I want to customise the OWA logon page for Exchange so I can put my own logo etc on it.
Anyone know how?

One thing to bear in mind is that when you install an Exchange service pack it overwrites the Outlook Web Access files, so you'll lose any of your changes.

It should also be noted that the MS technet page states:
Do not deploy this procedure into a production environment or your user logon information will be sent in an unencrypted state.

That comment only seems to apply to the next section down which refers to how to setup OWA with forms based auth when not over SSL

That quote doesn't have anything to do with customising the logon page. I've edited the logon page several times before and have always used SSL. Whether you use SSL or not just depends on your IIS setup and firewall rules.
