We seem to be getting a large amount of it in just the past 2 days and our filtering service isnt picking it up as spam either (contacting them today).

TIA

These are the standard spam - if you haven't seem before then your service was filtering then ;-)

Seriously though it's very seasonal. Some weeks I receive thousands of messages a day, some other weeks it goes through the roof.

I suspect with lots of botnets around we will see more and more of these coming (no pun intended).

This lot is def from a botnet, theres just some odd issues that have arisen with it coming into our system as well which has me a tad concerned....

I'll keep hassling the boss to yell at our filtering service provider and poke around the system some more... Laughing Just what i want first thing in the morning.....

Filter provider had a "whoops" day....  so the spam should stop now thankfully. Yell

However still one issue that remains only noticed due to the spam....  can someone who's an "expert" on Exchange drop me a PM and see if you know whats causing this little side issue ?

TIA

and who would your service provider be ?

I too have noticed an increase in SPAM and will be complaining to my ISP as their SPAM filter should pickup what is termed 'certainly spam' if they don't update their filter I'll log a complaint with DIA which should get their attention

Our filter provider had an actual outage, not out of date filters or anything.
