I'm interested in doing some programming for free. Ideally for charity, non-profit or schools. National, and not International.

Not motivated by recent events overseas, but something I've been thinking about for some time.
I want to do something nice, and I want to keep my programming skills up.

Any suggestions?

I'd also be willing to help, I have quite a bit of knowledge in regards to PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, and AJAX.

Do you have something in mind? PM is you prefer.

I've been programming since I was a kid - back then, writing demo effects for my Amiga 500. Exposure to assembly programming provided me with a solid base for other languages.
Once I started my career in IT, I developed in whatever was required, but this was mostly Excel, VBA, VB6, C# (winforms) and Oracle SQL or PL/SQL - I would consider myself competent in those languages.
As a developer, I'd probably lean toward Windows, though I've done small tasks in Unix. To those I meet (eg. at parties), I introduce myself as a computer guy, or computer problem solver - I figure that's what IT work is.

Google my name (Rob van Gelder) and you'll see I do a lot with Excel.

At work, these days, I'm doing more analysis/specification work, which is fine and interesting work, so I'm doing programming jobs at home to keep me going.

I have nothing specific in mind, just good to know if volunteers (all if not most) are able to code in the same languages.
