First off - this video (10mins / 90mb if you can bothered - no criticising my windows movie maker skills!) shows I have 2 Dynalink RTA1025WV6 Modems, and a Thomson one... The thomson TG585v7 one works fine, as does one of the Dynalink ones.

I've tried a factory reset with screwdriver in the hole in the back, as well as loading new firmware which does nothing to get me beyond the bootloader screen.

I'm with NZNET for my internet, and have an eMachines em350 netbook running windows 7.0 as well as ubuntu 11.04 (linux). I don't believe its my DSL provider or netbook hardware are causing the issues, though am happy to be proven wrong.

Besides a factory reset and loading new firmware what options do i have left? Returning the modem for a refund is not an option sadly.

I'm looking to sell the working dynalink one for $60 and the non working one for $20 if anyone is keen to before I put them on trademe (hate paying trademe fees!).  Would do free courier as long as you didnt need the box, and would include 2x adsl filters, power adapters, phoneline cables, but NOT ethernet cables. See picture here.

Sorry can't help with your problem.
But maybe try re-posting it in the 'LAN (ethernet/Wifi/routers)' topic for a potentially wider audience.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Yeah i thought that after i'd posted here, i tend to post in this topic thread too often when it should go elsewhere...

Too late anyway, its reached reserve, so its someone elses problem when they win it off trademe...
