Behodar: I wonder whether-all the extra hyphenation is-supposed to impress potential customers, or-whether it's just extra stupidity.

I suspect that even though she's based in Napier (yeah right), the Queen's English isn't her native tongue. wink

Fake LinkedIn profiles are a thing. I mainly get "Financial Advisors" with British banks... Usually they have hundreds of connections (fakes and dumb people) but only a single job and not even a job description.

I wonder if you reply saying you don't want SEO services but rather asking for spam services what they would say :p

I always take them up on their offer, because there's one thing more people need to visit and that's http://muppetz.com

These Marketing/SEO/Financial "experts" give us a bad name.  Internet marketing and making money on the internet is a thing! But try and make your friends and family believe that when they get 10 emails a day telling you that you can go to "X" website and make "Y" amount of cash in a single day!

It destroys our credibility!

It's not even like they are doing themselves any favors anyway.  Google 'slap' people like this for spamming keywords and de-rank blogs and websites for inappropriate or poor content.  It's more effective to do SEO the proper way.  Establish a domain name associated with a uniquely developed brand, start a blog and offer original content that gives the reader value.

I guess email is different.  So long as it drags in a few customers and the email gets blacklisted, who cares...Move on to the next one.

Slightly off topic....But I've just launched my own wordpress website and plan to launch another one in the future.  Does anyone know a good resource for more legitimate Google happy SEO techniques for ranking my websites?  Apart from the likes of social media, blogs and keywords...Is there anything else I need to know to beat down competition?  It's hard when they have $100,000 dollars to spend per year and I don't. :(

I used to frequent WebmasterWorld forum years ago when I first started. It is still a very good source of all things online-related. You can still find me there as "freitasm" (what else?)

Attempting to bypass heuristic spam filters would be my guess.

I manage a small company and we got something similar through our enquiries address last week.  Telling me my website wasn't optimised, some thing to do with panda's and penguins.  I let her know that trade in both species is illegal as they are protected by the ICES.

When I went and tested our site with sensible search terms it's at or near the top of the Google results every time.

21 Paraite Rd doesn't look like a SEO Spammer den of evil and iniquity.

That's just what they want you to think. It appears to be a nice innocent warehouse, when in fact it's an evil empire of spammers within.
