Just have to see when my email change and what happens with the three connections I use on a daily basis (Outlook 2013, Outlook (via Android) and Outlook.com) If I have to change my domain over to Office365, then so be it as I have had a good couple of years of it being free.

Based on my experience (and thanks to UncleArthur) so far and what I have tested on my accounts that have been moved:
Outlook 2013 and 2016 will work using the alias trick mentioned earlier
Outlook on Android will just work. No alias required
Outlook.com (I'm assuming you mean via a web browser) will also just work, but the top left will read Outlook preview and you will see updated functionality
