Hmm, none of the users have global admin rights, none of the licences are valid, TPP have emailed to say they don't have any records of my client having any licences and yet two amounts are going out on his CC each month and their email is  working !

If you want to PM me the account details I'm happy to have a look for you and see if I can figure anything out for you.

This is still going. Domainz won't talk to me anymore and TPP have just said they don't know what an O365 tenancy is.

I can't get control of the domain without global admin access to the existing tenant can I ?

Or is there someone here from Microsoft who can help ?

Yea you won’t be able to just migrate to a new tenant as the custom domain name is still in the old one, and the system won’t let you do it until it’s removed from there.
You’re going to have to contact Microsoft directly and get them to help you get global admin access.

Just confirmed with our CSP provider and they said you'll need to call Microsoft on 0800 800 004 and get them to help you gain control of the tenant, since you're getting no help from Domainz etc.

Wow, just got an email to say Global Access has been assigned for us to move to another CSP. That really was out of the blue.

So I assume it's just a case of removing the Partner Relationship, adding our domain, setting up the email accounts with exchange plans and that's it ?

If you now have a user with global admin access you don’t meee to do anything with the domain or email accounts.
Just decide if you want to pay Microsoft directly or use another CSP.
If going direct to Microsoft just go into the products section and buy the licenses you need.
If you’re happy with the existing licenses just buy the exact same ones and quantity as already in use.
Then remove the domainz CSP from the partner section and that should remove the licenses that were purchased through them.
The system will automatically assign the new licenses as needed.

If you go with another CSP they’ll have a link you can click on to add them as a partner to the tenant.
Once you’ve done that they can add the licenses you want and then you can remove Domainz.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Let me know if you're still having issues with this and I'll see what I can do from our side of the fence to get this resolved.

You mentioned you had access to the UDAI so it would be possible to do an internal admin takeover (make an accoun within the tenant an Global Admin) once the DNS had been transferred to another host where you could manipulate the DNS records. We don't typically get involved directly in Partner disputes such as this (i.e. we won't shake a stick at either party and we don't always get the full story) but there are a number of options for you if the relationship has degraded that much.

Thanks @Jogre and @CYaBro, I managed to get Global Admin access on Friday and got it all sorted over the weekend.

Domainz/TPP had been stalling for two weeks. On Friday a new TPP person emailed to say "so-and-so is away today, how can I help?". I said I wanted Global Admin and they did it immediately. Not sure why the two others were holding it up.

Domain is now with us from Netregistry, website is now with us on Vultr and email remains through O365 with us as admin.

Great to hear, just a shame there's that period of Easter/ANZAC to draw this out (although the fix probably resulted from people being on leave).

They've been trying to do this themselves since January and had been through MelbourneIT, Domainz, TPP, Microsoft following all the avenues I went through but with no luck.

It didn't help they don't understand much of the terminology but I said I would deal with it for them and I think we've all learnt some valuable lessons.
