Whatever you do, steer clear of hosting direct.

HostingDirect are not a .nz Registrar (as far as I can tell).
See http://www.dnc.org.nz/content/srs_registrar_list.html for a list of registrar's
They may be going thru someone else for them registering domains.

Does anyone know if any of these domain name registrars have any free email services. i.e. gives you a free you@yourdomain.com when you buy a domain?

Thanks

I don't think you'll find email accounts for free, but most do packages where you get the domain + a small amount of space + a handful of emails for $x a year.

Orcon does.  See http://www.orcon.net.nz/work/page/domains

A bit more expensive than the norm ($32/year), but in my experience they have great uptime and the management interface isn't too painful.

Personally I use domains4less.co.nz for NZ domains, have used them for quite a while now, 2yrs I think from memory.

For .com, .net, .org etc I use Godaddy.com, possibly the cheapest and have a massive detailed DNS management system, support can be abit crap though.

I would suggest:

domains4less or 1stdomains, both are very good and have found support excellent.
