I just downloaded it and installed the usual stuff (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). So far so good (but I did keep 2007 versions around but of course I coudn't keep Outlook 2007). Only issue so far was it broke Google Calendar Sync since GCS checks for the Outlook version which is now 14.0.0. A check on the net and then a quick edit of the outlook.exe to change the version number fixed that.

My only concern which I have to prove is, are the PST file backwards compatible? If I decided not to purchase 2010 and go back to 2007, is all my old mail now not readable?

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I've not had problems with pst's between 2007 or 2010...

Excel seems to be a tad sluggish and weird on some spread sheets that used to work fine in 2k7.. I can't say I?m a fan of the grouping / 'conversation' behaviour in outlook..

As for the 'social networking' features - Annoying... seems to produce short waits whilst it tries to query something.. Maybe I?m just not that much of a fan of facebook etc etc ?.

Otherwise... Fine. I only use office 2010 for home/work now.. :)

The change of location for alot of features (yet again) is mildy fustrating....

rhysb: You reminded me of another cool outlook feature, multiple exchange accounts. Finally.

Does that require Exchange 2010? I ask because it seems to be a limitation all Exchange connected products have so I've always assumed it was some sort of limitation to the server rather than the client.
