I'll assume that's the one that finishes with 'y' :-)

I wish they'd establish a NZ presence so to speak. Some healthy competition from an experienced company with large pockets would, I think, only be good for everyone.

I am a user of both sites, it would be getting well off topic (and probably fruitless) to go on about the issues but as a nett purchaser I find the local one distinctly unfriendly towards me. The other has, for some time, been a much better option for your average user IMO, I trust it works well for whatever you're doing.

Incidentaly I see that 'auctionbar.co.nz' is currently available

to the OP: if you just going to use it for personal usage (as you said) then I'd say go ahead and do it!
