I'm assuming that you can upload your exsisting MS Exchange PST to Microsoft BPOS (or Microsoft Online)? Are there any draw backs or differences between MS Exchange 2007 on my SBS over Microsoft BPOS? Thanks

I have been using Intermedia's White Label (use your own branding) http://www.intermedia.net/resellers/resellers.asp very successfully for 6 months now for several clients.  Pricing is not bad, mailboxes up to 25Gb, public folders, Blackberry support, etc.  Communication about minor outages (patching reboots) is exceptionally good in my experience.  Anything that BPOS lacks these guys seem to cover.

We did host a couple of dozen mailboxes ourselves initially but decided we didn't want to be in that game long term.

This issue has reared it's ugly head again after I found out to my complete disbelief that Orcon does not backup it's hosted exchange service AT ALL and that backups are expected to be done by the client by downloading thier mail to PST.

I need to find a NZ company who does provide backups for their hosted exchange mailboxes.

Does it have to be NZ based? Office 365 is pretty compelling (next evolution from MS BPOS).

IIRC nearest Microsoft data center that NZ customers would likely get provisioned on is either Sydney or Singapore.

Microsoft BPOS and Hosted Exchange are served to New Zealand from Singapore. The service is really fast and I can recommend it.

Well I just signed up as a reseller with myhostedexchange.co.nz and I have to say I am pretty damn impressed (and that takes a fair bit). They know their stuff, the documentation is polished, support is prompt and setup pretty easy!

networkn: I want servers that are located in NZ, not overseas so I can get the ping times down nice and low.

Ping times won't have much influence on email experience. I use Microsoft Office 365. Servers are hosted in Singapore and it works just fine.

Mauricio does the 5-seat minimum you mentioned still apply to Office 365?
