Going to be interesting on the Wairarapa Line especially on the way home from the city. I live in Masterton so guaranteed a seat in the morning but it could be a different case getting home. The seats taken by Upper Hutt commuters were bad enough in normal times in limiting options for us travelling through the tunnel; if they continue to use the Wairarapa trains with limited seating there could be bloodshed at some point.

Did they put the same signs on the Wairapa trains?

Yes they have. Same limits, no standing.

@freitasm very happy with Metlink and social distancing

How busy was it?  And did they have someone policing numbers?

And lastly, how frequent are services?

Back to full weekday timetable and not busy at all (this week) next week remains to be seen, metlink staff were on the platform allowing people onto the train

But what is a regular weekly schedule?  Every 5 mins, 10 mins to 30 mins?

Going back in on Monday. Don't have to but a few of the team are going in. I miss the general office banter and just being around people. I also find that I don't like full time working from home as the line between work and pleasure time gets a bit blurred - towards the pleasure side in my case.

Sounds similar to me! While I haven't had official approval yet, I expect to be back on Monday. I suspect that Monday morning is going to be mainly social and don't expect too much work to get done :)

Won't personally be back for a while yet. Have a permanently immuno-suppressed spouse, so playing it very very safe. My work is encouraging work from home still anyway, although for staff who need to be in, they have been separated out on each floor. Don't quite know how two people per lift in a 16 story building is going to work however.

I can only speak for the Kapiti Line every 5-10 minutes between 7-8am

I was not allowed on the 7:07 from Porirua due to the number of people, but as able to catch the 7:11

We are staggering back in, to assist our clients that are doing the same

And deal with all those faults and non-essential clients which require onsite attention that we have not been able to address for the last six weeks!!

We are still on a global WFH for another couple of weeks.

everettpsycho:  I've been more productive the last 6 weeks than I'd been in the office earlier this year as people can't wander over and ask inane questions all the time.

This.. SO SO SO much this...

I would kill for some inane chat right now! I have been really productive at home but it does feel like work is relentless, its literally work, eat, sleep, repeat.... and those trips to the kitchen where you stop and shoot the breeze for 5 minutes would be a welcome distraction.

The other day I saw an awesome picture of the Tararuas and realised I hadn't been outside for a few days. So yeah, I am super productive, but I am probably going to burn out soon.

I won't be back in the office for the foreseeable future. We have a 30% capacity cap and the only people going back are the ones with a poor home set-up. Once the kids go back to school on Monday, hallelujah!

Been working in the office as normal during the lockdown; will miss the free carpark on the street along with the easier commute.

Default position for our company is "back to the office" which seems in direct competition from the governments advice

Our office was ~70% full today. Most people back with a few taking a couple of days to get kids ready for school and will be back later in the week.

Biggest impact will be our meeting rooms. A meeting room that was designated to take 15 people is now only allowed to take 5. Most meetings I had today were mixed with 5 people physically in the room and the rest video conferencing in from their desks. Doesn't work very well when you have 4-5 people from an open office layout video conferencing in to the same meeting standing within a 3m radius. I can hear them in person followed by a delay before I can hear them through the video conf. Very distracting.
