So, my wife reports her birthdays are all out by a day as well. I really hope this gets sorted, her transition to Office 365 hasn't been great. 3 Outages in 2 months and a broken calendar.

How long should it take to resolve something they can confirm is obviously a problem?

Yay the cloud.

I cancelled my trial before it became paid. I just couldn't deal with paying more for email hosting, yet receiving what felt like a beta quality product from over a decade ago.

Microsoft support has told me they’ve been able to confirm the fault and they’ve got a fix rolling out with the next update, whenever that is.

They didn't manage that much for me, heh. But as told the ineffectual 'senior lead' tech who phoned me, I might try out 365 again when whatever contract - most likely 12 months - runs out with the competitor I end up with.

To be honest, I've put this entire switching from Google Workspace on the back burner, for a wee bit. I'm annoying underwhelmed with the competition I've tried that has the full email/calendar/contacts hosting package. I'm thinking I might just switch email, and stick with Google for calendar and contacts. Even if that does leave me having calendar interactions with others that use a Gmail address.

Or maybe I'm just being too finicky... have I perhaps been spoilt by Google? Are they really now the best in this area? :-D Aside from support, of course, as it was an abysmal experience with Google support that led to me wanting to switch.

I'm afraid when it comes to MS, my general stance is, I'll believe it when I see it. :)

I hope they do fix it and soon.

I'm afraid as I'm no longer a customer of 365, the only recent communication I've had from MS was this email, yesterday:

"Greetings to you!

My name is XXXX XXXX and I am the Team Manager at Microsoft.

This case was assigned to one of my support engineer, to assist you regarding subjected issue. While reviewing your case I found that it is ready for closure. I thought I would talk with you before closing the case to make sure that your issue is resolved with all your questions answered to your satisfaction, but understanding the busy schedules, I thought of writing an email initially and should there be anything that needs a serious attention, we can definitely schedule a call.

I must conclude, by saying that Microsoft has earned the trust of customers only by listening to you over time. The various programs and the quality of services offered by Microsoft continue to improve only due to the feedback that you give us.

We are focused on ensuring you are satisfied with the support experience, and appreciate you taking the time to provide any comments or feedback.

Your business and partnership is of prime importance to us.

Thanks for being a part of Microsoft family, waiting for your reply."

In other words: a last ditch (minimal form letter) effort to get me to reconsider a decision I already made late last month - to not go forward with 365, as I encountered multiple annoying bugs, and web Outlook was just generally a sub-par experience that constantly left me wishing I hadn't sworn to ditch Google Workspace this year.

@cyabro so my wife still has this issue she tells me.  Did you ever hear anything?

No I haven’t heard anything more about this.
Actually totally forgot about it!
I need to do some more testing and see how it goes.

Just did a quick test and it seems to be working fine now.
I had to turn off the birthday calendar in the outlook settings on the website and save that then went back in and turned it on again.
I also had to edit a contacts birthday to get it to show up in the calendar but it’s now showing on the correct day.

Heh, well that is many months too late for me to care :-)

I ended up going with Fastmail and am pretty happy.
