I work with ASP.NET, jQuery, Silverlight, CSS and SharePoint.  It'f very difficult to find time to upskill on the latest and greatest in the web dev space so a day dedicated to just this will really help broaden my horizons.

I work with the following technologies...

  • ASP.NET

  • VB.NET

  • C#.NET

  • JavaScript

  • T-SQL

  • CSS

  • Reporting Services

  • Integration Services

  • and probably a few others I've forgotten...

I love going to TechEd but haven't had the opportunity to go for a number of years.  Not to mention it is a hassle it is only in Auckland.  So having an event like this in Wellington is a fantastic boon.

I am always keen to attend these events when they are local, as I always manage to learn something new that I can add to my repertoire.

I am a freelance developer just starting out. I focus on mobile technologies that connect to the cloud, so I use a lot of iOS and JSON. I also dabble in a bit of Android and web (primarily jQuery and Node.js and build GAE apps for fun).

I am trying to get my name out there and this would be a great opportunity to network while upskilling. I want to build a broad skillset and this conference would help achieve that.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, MySQL, Python.

I'd love to go to get more of a handle on developing for mobile and discuss responsive design with the latest HTML and CSS3. Learning more about Sencha touch, how to use touch gestures in websites that are progressively enhanced from mobile up to browser, and any gotchas with developing cross-device sites are the things I am particularly interested in. Getting to ask Paul Irish why he included some things in his HTML5 Boilerplate would be a bonus :-)

Platforms I currently work with include Windows O/S and WWW
The tools are Visual Studio deploying ASP.NET, WPF, MVVM, WCF just to name a few.
The conference touches on many new technologies that I would enjoy to be using in the future.

I have just started out at my new Job as a website developer, I try to focus on both front-end and back-end of websites, it's been a passion since I can remember.

Languages I use are HTML, CSS, jQuery and ASP.

It's my sole purpose here to discover, work out and implement new methods, tricks and technologies for our business. Everyday I have to find something interesting on the web, discover how it was done and try to re-create it.

This brings exciting new idea's for our designs etc..

I would love to attend WDCNZ because it would be my very first event I could attend in my field of work. I would love to discuss and discover all the new features that are coming out with HTML5 and CSS3 and even more jQuery which is clearly slowly replacing all the flash content on the web.

I'd also like to in near future broaden my skills to PHP, .NET and more.

This would be a great chance for me to boost my career, and show my employer I'm always willing to learn and advance.

Thank You

The platforms I use:
C#.NET, CSS, XHTML, jQuery, JavaScript, MSSQL
The main tools I use:
Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server Management Studio, Photoshop CS3

I am really trying to get into developing Smartphone Web Apps that are cross-device compatible but need to find out the best practices/techniques before I start developing. So basically if I get a ticket to the WSCNZ I know I will have a good foundation to start developing from the knowledge I'll gain from listening and talking to the speakers and other attendees!

Thanks a lot!

I use the following technologies and tools:

  • JQuery

  • HTML5

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

  • C# (and VB.NET)

  • VS2010

  • SQL 2008

  • AnkhSVN

  • NuGet

  • NUnit

  • SubSonic

  • LINQ

  • TortoiseSvn + Subversion

  • TortoiseGit

I've built an HTML5 app (using JQTouch). I'm very happy with the results (works on multiple devices including iPhone, iPad and Andoird, works offline too with data sync).
Want to get more knowledge about security and scalability though, as well as better ways of doing things.

I like to be involved.  Nice opportunity to hear what they think.

I am currently into : Struts 2, PHP, Mysql.

Reasons want to get the ticket:

1 : I want to know how they resolve browser compatibility issues in a unique, easy, manageable manner.
2 : What is their perception on fulfilling clients requirements.
3 : What do they feel about ITS industry in NZ in the near future.
4 : Which technology is mostly worth to learn but is easily to be ignored.
