I have this X1 8180 (Telecom network) its the second one we have had that got this problem. The phone has crashed in some way and will only turn on repeatedly with the hourglass and vibrate then continually restarts over and over untill the battery is removed. Ive searched the web and tried all the power up with volume + button held and all i can get that is different is a pink screen and nothing more.
The first phone was returned to the seller and was replaced with this one which was fine for about 5 months.
Its my daughters phone so i dont really know what she has done to make two of them fail in the same way!
How do i re-flash or re-boot to make it work or is it another waist of cash down the drain! Ive tried to get files even from links posted here on GeekZone but they all seem to be dead ends. Can anyone help or sugest who i can send it to to get repaired??

theres a few things it could be..

my friends smartphone kept getting too hot and was melting the SIM card
and also internal memory cards.. or they would warpjust a little
turned out to be a bad battery.. it was over charging or discharging
replaced the battery and on his 5th new sim card never been a problem since

perhaps remove all cards and put battery in and see if gets further

or even try a new battery as well.

also.. what can happen is the internal memory fills up.. and slows the boot
down or hangs,. why extra sdcards are a must and use the apk mover to sd
card to reduce issues

or root it and use links2sf like I didnt then can have endless apks and no
memory issues again :)

also I thought it was hold down the volume + and - while holding down
the power button to get the factory reset feature??

try that?

this is a handy list.. maybe you need to try the remove battery for 30seconds and press the power button
one.. or is that meaning put the battery in again then power button?

Ive tried the volume + - buttons and powering on after battery has been out thats how it comes up with the pink screen. It has no sim or memory cards installed at the moment.
I did read that if i do the above turn on with a sim loaded with a file in root directory it shold reload but all links to those files i located are no longer valid including the one listed on this forum.
