See here - Can be but not without issues. I believe most of the stores are going to be doing this deal.

The website doesn't show the model number but the words say it's a Telecom phone so I assume it's a 9300t.

i9300 is quadband 3g, so does 850,900, 1900, 2100. This fully covers both VF/2D and Telecom/Skinny. Any differences are only firmware and anyone experienced with android phones and flashing should have no problem using any i9300 on any network here in NZ.

That would be highly unlikely, Especially considering the DC one is also LTE/4G.

I would tend to suggest a lot of companies are beginning to offload the i9300's due to the new interest in the i9305 especially considering the sudden availability of LTE, Although I'm sure the impending S4 does help.

the warehouse daily deals also had a 2D version with a 3G tablet for $50 more, a workmate of mine purchased that one as he wanted a S3 anyway and now gets a 3G tablet for free!

There's quite a lot of these deals out there now. So Telecom, 2D and Vodafone will require you to sign up to a 24 month plan, while Warehouse Stationery simply gives the Tablet away? Awesome!

The phone itself has also been reduced to $689 if you're not interested in 'free' tablet:

Actually, Telecom were even selling them to Prepaid, somebody even got a free tablet for doing a Mobile Insurance claim, it's just stock ran out pretty-much that day.

OK, so looks like I missed both of these deals, anything else out there?

My wife really wants a new phone (our old Huawei U8150s aren't cutting it). Android is preferred but not essential and she quite likes the look of the S3 which is why I'm posting in here, looking for a good S3 deal.

If I have no luck, I'll post a new thread later I guess.

A freind of mine brought this deal from Warehouse and is looking to sell off the phone as he only wanted the tablet.

There may be some others like that on Trade Me.

Otherwise keep an eye of 1-day, grabone etc. I am sure it will come up again.
