Hello all,

Long story short. Computer died mid upgrade via Kies and now my phone has the firmware upgrade error and it won't recover via Kies.

Because I bought my phone overseas, Samsung don't want to know about it.

I have read numerous posts on firmware recovery and upgrades but don't have the patience nor time to do it myself.

Was wondering if there is anyone in the Auckland area that could do this for me for a fee?

Cheers.

I take it you can still get into download mode? if not I have a USB jig. basically you will need to download Odin and flash a new kernel then you can flash a rom. The problem is you may have emmc chipo so if you flash with stock kernel you may really brick it.

I'm in Auckland (Balmoral area) if I can help I'm happy to

If you can get into download mode, kies emergency recovery should work. Have used this method once before when a customer had an update fail using kies.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Hi guys thanks for your replies. I can get it into download mode but can't seem to download the right firmware files. I'm no technotard but this is above my pay grade and tolerance level.

cheers
