I've tried searching for anything, but as my phone is a yakjukr (I bought the phone when I was in Korea) I am doubtful that anyone on these forums has asked the question before.
I would like to update my phone to the latest android release.
When I moved back to NZ in January of this year, I unlocked the phone using Nexus Root Toolkit v1.68 and currently use it on Telecom's XT network with 4.1.1 JRO03C. I've read around various sources about how forcing OTA updates, and flashing stock + root can be done, but I'm a little wary of how extensive some of these measures are as I don't particularly want to brick my phone, or risk losing any data/spending time recovering from any mishaps.
Is it possible that because my phone is yakjukr that any telecom OTA updates for it won't recognize my device? If so, what's the easiest way to get the latest android update (preferably without rooting), bearing in mind I'm relatively noob at this sort of thing.
