I recently tried to root my Defy. I somehow managed to screw something up and now it won't connect to google's servers. I was wondering if anyone had the stock 2.2.2 Telecom NZ firmware of which i could restore to?

I'd personally recommend putting Cyanogenmod on it. Plenty of guides on XDA.

Hi Michael do you know much about this? If Hayden's phone is screwed up then would putting Cyanogenmod fix it?

Yes, just need to first install a stage 2 recovery, put the Cyanogenmod .zip file + gapps on the SD card, boot into stage 2, factory reset within it then install Cyanogenmod. All pretty easy to do on the Defy. I did this with my old defy a while ago and it's running Jellybean no problems, a bit better than 2.2.2 :)

Sure, I'll recommend the MokeeOS which is available from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453395

You'll need to install a 2nd stage boot, a quick search on XDA and you'll find instructions, I'm about to jump on a plane so won't be able to help here :) but good luck!
