My 9 year old niece in England is a bit obsessed with Minecraft apparently.
However, her Hudl (android device purchased from a supermarket) is dying.
My brother has asked if its possible to transfer "all her Minecraft" to a new device.
He is hoping to avoid a major meltdown.

I know I cant transfer Candy Crush boosters from one device to another but I wont lose level progress.
But I know nothing about Minecraft.

What do I tell him?

I don't use android, but from a quick search it looks like you can use ES File Explorer to backup and restore the save games in a path location like "games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds" which may be on the sdcard if there is one in the device.
Presumably you can reinstall minecraft from the google store, and then restore the save games. Hopefully your brother is up for a bit of trial and error as I guess you can't exactly take a look at the device yourself.

With the cheap android devices, if there is no external sd card - quite often (2/2 that i have pulled apart) the internal memory is just a removable sd card internally mounted that you should be able to get data off.
