I have dropbox on my S6 Edge. I often take videos of gameplay, which are 150MB. I upload them via Drop box so I can share them.

The problem I have is that for some unknown reason despite having 100MBit upload, the uploads seem to stall. I can't cancel them, pause them or see anyway to force any behaviour at all.

Does anyone know if there is a secret page in the app for managing uploads?

I am thinking of dropping dropbox as I generally find uploads very slow, and switching to another app. I like the ability to share a URL link direct to my clipboard, so any replacement would need to be registered as a share target and have that ability.

You could upload to youtube for sharing? I do this frequently, and its pleasing how simple/effective it all is.

Its also quite slow when I try to upload, but I'm only on ADSL.

Yah I guess I could, though managing permissions is a bit of a pain, something I don't need to worry about with dropbox. Anyone I share the link with, can see it, everyone else can't.

Ive had no end of problems with it and photos on my note 4 - Take a few dozern photos and one will arrive in the dropbox. Then nothing. App is letting me browse dropbox no worries so not a connectivity issue at all.

Pretty close to using the unlimited Amazon Cloud I got.

Actually it might be their carosoul that I have doing photos on the phone? No idea with them and they are discontinuing it anyway. End up emailing to myself often. That sends fast and fine.

If you have a decent home server/infrastructure you could look into owncloud.

Try the dropsync app, works great. I uploaded heaps of 20 - 40MB RAW files from hotel wifi connections in Asia using it.

Probably has a plugin for it? I am using it and find it pretty good - have my phone configured to auto-upload pictures/videos (basically the same as can be done with Dropbox). I also use it for storing my contact list and calendar and then have my phone, PCs (via Thunderbird) and tablets all syncing via the owncloud CalDav and CardDav services.

The mobile apps for owncloud are pretty good as are the desktop clients. All seems to be pretty seamless IME.

Upgrading can be a bit fiddly at times, but they are improving this all the time. Well worth a look IMO.

Setting the video as unlisted in youtube, generally means strangers wont stumble across them, while being easily visible to anyone you share the link with.

Wow I can't believe how much faster both youtube direct upload and Amazon Cloud is. Bye Bye Dropbox.
