Quick question. Started a new job, I can either use my current Huawei P9 and they'll pay the plan, or they'll pay $400 towards another phone. I don't want to spend any money on a work phone, but might spend $100 if it was much better than my current.

Should I:

Keep the P9 (full)
Get a P10 lite
Get a Nokia 5
Get something else

The P9 is quirky and not perfect, but I'm largely used to its quirks.

Also curious - have people found it's better to have one phone for personal and work, or have separate work / personal phones? I wouldn't mind not having to pay my phone bill, and I'm not sure I'm all that keen to have to bother with two phones.

I ran 2 for a while when i wanted to keep work well away from me on the weekends, circumstances have changed now and i have one for both.....hind sight one handset would have been better first time around.

what about 2 sims huawei mate 9 pro from Noel Leeming? save the hassle of having two phones but you can still separate the two.

I had the same option as you once - go with my own phone and they pay the bill, or two seperate phones.

Much easier with just the one phone, and that is the way I have gone since - even when I got this current job and had to take one of their numbers - it doesn't take long to get other people to use your new number and it is much much easier that two phones.

Also, the plan is much better - I have unlimited calling etc, and at work we have a shared pool of data, which on average is about 10GB per user, and most users go nowhere near it so basically unlimited data.

Thanks for the thoughts. I guess I'll go with one phone, and I can't see a good reason to move away from the P9.
