My phone's (Samsung A3 2016) storage keeps filling up really quickly so I plug it into my PC and download the photos, however when I look at my phone all the photos are still showing in both Gallery and Google Photos. I keep getting warnings saying that Gallery isn't working properly because of the memory, so I thought I'd just be able to delete them all from the app but when I look at the info on the photos in Gallery it's saying they are saved to Samsung Cloud, so I don't want to just delete all the photos in my Gallery as I am worried it will then delete them from the Samsung Cloud. Does anyone know what I should do? When I plug my phone into my PC, I can't seem to access the Gallery or Google Photos apps directly. When I look in my Camera DCIM folder, there's nothing in there but Gallery and Google Photos still show 1000+ photos. It's affecting the performance of my phone but I can't work out what to do. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

In Google photos press the 3 horizontal lines on the top left, click "free up space". It should only delete what has been backed up to the cloud.

That's great, thank you! Is there something similar for the Gallery as well? I can't seem to find an option like that.

If everything is backed up then you can just go ahead and delete all from the gallery as you have copies already backed up with Google.
