Can these Android apps be safely deleted ? or do i need them to use my phone ?

 

 

 

Samsung Galaxy J1 ACE query: i am thinking of removing some apps that i dont (knowingly) use.

 

 

 

Are the following apps safe to delete or are they used in running the phone.?

 

a) Galaxy Apps

 

b) Google (i use Google search on Samsung internet browser)

 

c) Google Play games

 

d) Google play movies

 

e) Google +

The apps that come with your phone usually can’t be deleted, even if you want to!

As above, unless you have root access the bloatware can't be deleted/removed. 

 

Try installing something like BK Package Disabler. It'll help identify what is bloatware etc and just disable the packages.

Thanks - basically, im trying to install something but it keeps asking me to delete apps i want to keep. 

 

 

 

I'll see what i can remove

 

 

 

(I may go to vodafone store & get a new phone with more memory -This phone is quite old anyway)

That would be far easier, although I'm surprised at how many new devices available still have low storage (8GB or less). I think the J1 Ace had 8gb storage, so you'll need something with 16GB or more.

 

You could install a MicroSD card and move some of your apps to that, but that's not usually as successful as you'd like!

Most of those apps you probably won't be able to delete as such. But you can delete their data, and disable them. Which will free up a little memory both RAM and ROM.

Usually clearing cache will be a beneficial way of freeing up some space. Go to settings>storage>cache and it should all if you'd like to clear it.

Friends don't let friends buy a phone with less than 16GB storage, 32GB is a preferable minimum these days.
