Hi,

Just had an update yesterday on my Nexus 6P and today i have noticed that the Battery Saver (which is set to kick in at 15% Battery level) kicks in even my phone is at 51% battery.

Currently my phone is at 45% battery, still shows that battery saver is turned on.

Even after restarting the phone, its still same.

Any other Nexus 6P owners experiencing the same??

Any fix?

HI,

I got the same security update yesterday, but this hasn't happened for me.l.

However I had my battery replaced about 2 months ago.

Are you still on the original battery? If so it may be on its way out

Regards,
Clint

How much was the battery replacement? Phones started shutting down early again.. had the main board replaced while under warranty but not the battery

I had a company in ChCh who I refer business to do it for me pro-bono, so not sure what the charge is. Don't think they are too bad tho

KillerHulk - my phone's fully updated and I (fortunately) haven't had this problem.

clinty - exactly what I thought when I read the OP.

friendlymonkey - I'm in Wellington and got my 6P battery replaced at Fonebitz. They quoted me $95 but only charged me $90 (mine's from overseas so no warranty repair). Dropped it off to them in the old bank arcade at 9am and it was ready to collect at 1pm.

Yes i am still on my Original Battery.

Battery is still in pretty good condition. Lasts me more than a day - as per my usage.

Charge every night to 75-80%, still will have approx. 40% the next night.

Nevertheless, i turned the battery saver off to get rid of red screen & limiting the performance.
