Looking to buy a used or new phone up to about $350. Main criteria is camera quality.

It won't be used for internet browsing - just sending and receiving texts and voice calls, plus taking the occasional pic.

I'd cruise Trade Me but I've no idea which brand to go for.

Advice will be appreciated.

Could be an option if you wanted a 2022 model - however, i'd splash out and get the A23 https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MPHSAM0323500C/Samsung-Galaxy-A23-2022-Dual-SIM-Smartphone-6GB128

You might be lucky and get an s20 from tm at around $400 but pricing seems a bit stingy as I looked around.

Vodafone Smart series are meant to be decent and they're very good value.
