Has anyone tried this successfully? My MBP detected it correctly as an "Android Phone" but I can't find the right settings to use.

hi,

I had the same problem, so I once googled and found a tool. It's called PdaNet. By JuneFabrics
Unfortunately, it is not free, but the $18 are okay, if you need it professionally.
In the market there is the tool for download for the Android. Install, configure, connect, done.

Thank you so much for that - at the moment I am okay with tethering my Windows 7 VM on my MBP. If that annoys me too much I can always spend the $18 Wink

I just use Wireless Teather. Downloadable from http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/

Works like a charm, but this is just the free way around it if you have a rooted device.
