I bought a Adata SDHC 8GB Class 6 card for my device.
It wasn't keen to recognise it at first but once I had formated it via connection to pc, it seemed happy with it. However, data written to it was not always readable by the device. At this point I was unsure if the card or device was at fault. I tryed another card I had, which worked fine but it was only 1GB. It eventually seemed to come right & all was well until the firmware update. I used the 1GB card for this & the 1.7.4 went on nicely. However the new firmware didn't want to read the 8GB card. Pictures, Video & Music would not open from their apps. If I opened a file individually from the SD it worked, but only then. I am thinking I have a faulty card. Just as a trial, I saved the data off it & re-formatted it to fat. Put it back in, reloaded the data & away it went no problem. Should these be fat or fat32, or do I still have a faulty card.

I bought an 8GB SDHC card from PB Tech.

It wasn't recognised at first, like yours. I went into Menu -> Settings -> SD Card & Storage and touched "Format SD Card".

That sorted it.

I've had similar with my eken m001. Don't think it's an adata sd card though.
Had similar issues when first putting it in. Also, loading the sd card in a card reader on windows, then inserting it into the eken more than often results in the eken reporting it as 'corrupted' requiring a reformat.

There is a app here http://www.slatedroid.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=8 which makes it much easier to get files from your pc to the slate (No more need for the usb cable and works well)

I will try the WebSharing app, although I wasn't having any problems transfering with the data cable. Have been using the Media Go software made for PSP.
Also have just learned something, you have to first unmount the SD card before you can format it, dah! Now it nows works fine with fat32.
I am an old dog, but I do try to learn new tricks.

You can also use Estrong File Manager to access windows file shares FROM the tablet.

To get files off the tablet via wifi I often use "SwiFTP". It makes your phone an FTP server. They also support access to the FTP server on your phone over the Internet via a donations-supported proxy server. That has been convenient on one occasion where only 3G access was possible.

I bought this device to take over from the trusty PSP 1000 I have had for some time.
With failing eyesite the larger screen is easier to see. I have some surgery coming up & are hoping this new device my help to entertain me during the recovery period.
Now that I have got the SD card sorted, I am adding a few entertainment apps.
I have the bookreader set up, & have a selection of books in the library.
I have found a couple of good Sudoku & Solitaire apps, but I am still looking for a good usable version of Mahjong Solitaire. So I was wondering if any of you clever people have found one that is the right size & works properly. I will pay for one, but only if it's going to work properly.

How does this one look? On a big screen, it could be really nice. You need to skip to a point about 2/3's of the way through to see actual game play. The first half is shuffling through all the many different layouts.

I'm not a mahjong player, though...at least not for a couple of decades. :-)

The phone looks like a G1, so the OS and RAM requirements should be OK for something like the M001.

Problem with that one is you have to be online to make it work properly.
That little piece at the top is advertising.
I like to turn off the wifi to get an extra hour from the battery.

Looks like "Mahjong Solitaire Pro" could be worth a look if I could find some easy way to download it.
