So has anyone else ordered the HTC Desire Z? Any ETAs?

Has anyone imported a T-mobile G2?

There seems to be very little interest in the Z when compared to the HD. I would say you shouldn't have any problems getting one in quickly.

This doesn't mean the Z is no good - I guess people love the bigger screen!

I think the Z is a fantastic looking device, I think many are being arbitrarily turned off by the 800MHz CPU, without realising that its a of a new generation and producing benchmarks better than the current 1GHz snapdragons. For some, like me, the larger screen of the HD is definitely a draw though.

I get the same feeling. Are people stuck on "mhz matters" still?
In any case, you can use SetCPU to overclock the CPU (The CPU does scaling, so it cranks up to max under heavy load otherwise sits idle to save power) to ~1ghz+ easy enough.

I know a few other people who are getting the HD instead.. Probably because of the bigger screen.

If I was going to switch from my SGS it'd definitely be for a Desire Z. It's a very nice looking device with a great hardware keyboard and the processor is pretty sweet too. HTC Have much better support than Samsung also.
