My positive experience with the HTC Desire always makes me feel warm and fuzzy about the company's products and I got all excited about the Flyer. But Gingerbread? Maybe next time ...

All look pretty meh, apart from the tablet.
The Desire/incredible S "upgrades" are all meh too. Only single core? not much more storage? kinda lame.

Pretty lame, I was expecting Desire HD2 with qHD display and dual core qualcomm processor :(

I'm disappointed about them all coming with Froyo too, it's almost time to do my yearly upgrade of my Galaxy S, hopefully some more information about when they'll receive 2.3/2.4 comes out soon

As far as I can see, they're all Gingerbread. At least according to multiple sources on web, apparently HTC actually issued a press release saying the new Facebook ones were running Android 2.4!

I am disappointed with HTC's Androids at MWC, all single core CPU and the specs for example for Incredible S, its not that incredible, 4" WVGA SLCD, bluetooth 2.1 to name a few. They seem to be lagging behind compared with Samsung, LG & Moto.

I would expect this to be in their September releases. Allowing Sense on top of 2.3 (or 2.4???) and to counter what ever is revealed in the iPhone5 or iPhone5 mini. HTC seems to work on a 6-monthly product cycle

I was a little disappointed by the tablet, single core and using 2.3, albeit with a 'tablet-ised' version of Sense. The stylus/pen option for note taking including meeting audio seems quite neat. I wonder if the ability to write notes on their phones with finger and stylus will ever appear.

Will have a 1.5Ghz processor and run Android 2.4 with an upcoming upgrade to 3.0
But they still seem to be sticking to the 7" size which is not enough of a size difference from my phone to warrant me buying one. Also I have a 10.1" Netbook at home which a tablet would effectively replace.
For me to consider a tablet it would need to be at least the size of an iPad, preferably 10"

HTC has shown off their Flyer tablet today, running on Android 2.4 with an updated HTC Sense UI and a very powerful 1.5Ghz processor.

The company did confirm the tablet will be upgradeable to Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the OS optimized for tablets, in the second quarter.

Featuring a 7-inch display, the tablet will be notably smaller than the upcoming Xoom and the Apple iPad, but directly rival the aging Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Because of the completely overhauled HTC Sense UI, the Flyer will have a 3D home screen of widgets, despite a lack of Honeycomb. The tablet will also include the ability to use touch gestures and HTC will provide a stylus to make use of the company's Scribe note-taking technology.

There is little to no information confirmed about Android 2.4, with most speculating that it adds dual-core support.
