Hi,

Anyone know how to define a specific caller (contact list specific) ringtone on a HTC Magic?

I can't find a way via settings, so probably an app that could manage this?

Cheers, Stevo

Don't know about that handset specifically, but on my HTC Desire and SGS just go to the music player, choose a song and then hit the menu button when its playing, it will bring up a menu with an option to 'set-as' (possibly a long press on the song within the list will bring up a similar context-sensitive menu, it does for the SGS, but not sure about the HTC model).

Alternately there are a number of apps that can do it.

On my HTC Magic (running Android 2.2.1) here is what I have to do.

1. Open "Contacts"
2. Select the contact for the caller you want to change the ringtone (the screen should now be showing the contacts numbers, email, address etc.)
3. Press the "Menu" button and select "Options"
4. "Ringtone" should be the first option.

Hope that helps.

That does help... bugger me.  I couldn't find this last night when I received a couple of funny ringtones and wanted to assign them to specific callers.

Thanks
