This suggests it has not been doing well

http://www.dailytech.com/Motorola+Xoom+Sees+Abysmal+Sales+New+Competitors+Pour+Salt+on+Its+Wounds/article21471.htm

As $800(US) for a unsubsidised unit it's hardly cheap and I guess that's reflected in the sales figures.

Perhaps wait for a bit and if the sales remain low, perhaps Motorola will drop the price and then we can jump in. I like the Xoom and would get one over an iPad if I were to get a tablet at all.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Yep the Xoom is screwed, the Eee Transformer finally appeared this morning and within seconds has been sold out. Looks like Asus, Acer and Samsung don't even need to try, they are already releasing for the 399-499USD price bracket off contract and with the same if not better specs

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

vinnieg: 399-499USD price bracket

That's the winning price bracket for sure. No one wants to pay top dollar for an unproven tablet O/S. It needs to prove itself first. That plus the fact that ACER and ASUS are bringing out some sh*t hot tablets for that price.
