The auction states:
'HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - American version'

The 'American Version' should work on XT everywhere (although you'll probably need to configure internet/MMS settings manually).

The other version may work in the main city centres, but there's no guarantee.

It's pretty old. Released October 2009. Only running Android 1.5. (Can apparently have 2.2 hacked onto it)

http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_dext_mb220-2934.php

If it's a CLIQ then it's probably the version that'll work on XT (850Mhz)

If it's a DEXT then it's probably the 900Mhz (Vodafone/2Degrees version)

You'd be better off looking for something newer.

The photos show a T-Mobile logo so it's probably the 900/1700/2100 version.

You're better off buying an LG P500 locally I think.

How much have you got to spend?

I don't really see the appeal of a physical keyboard, I came from a Nokia 6120c to the Samsung Galaxy S and adapted to the Swype keyboard very rapidly. Now I find it insanely fast compared to using physical buttons and I was using predictive before.

Why not just go to a Telecom store and get a LG here, with insurance, ready to work, tested?
