I see that Telecom have just announced this phone.
I'm amazed at how quickly it's coming out in NZ as I was preparing to buy it from an importer.

Does anyone have one already and if so, can you tell me about the death grip issue, if there really is one?

I had been looking at the Samsung GSII, but prefer the HTC hardware.

Can't wait. Mine will be here soon :D.
I do feel a little silly upgrading from a Galaxy-S already, but it does look a lot nicer and faster.

The only thing stopping me from upgrading to the Sensation is the screen visibility outdoors. I have a HTC Desire HD and the screen is horrible - basically useless - outdoors.

I don't expect too much change. It is still a SLCD screen. I had the idea that the Sensation's screen was slightly curved and wondered if that would make any difference though.

I don't suppose being Telecom that there is any chance it will be 850/900/1900/2100.

Edit: added frequency comment.

Apparently the Sensation screen is worse than a lot of HTCs other recent SLCD screens, so I expect sunlight visibility may take another hit.

Is it worse because it is qHD? I.e. more pixel boundaries = less backlight coming through. Personally I don't have a problem with my DHD screen..... until I see it beside an AMOLED screen.

My Guess is either we will get a release date, pricing (Doubt those two). Maybe Geekzone will be giving a few away, Theres some Geekzone App which is going to come Pre-Installed on the Sensation or Geekzone members get first dibs on the Sensations. lol

No, it's not that. But it's our second foray into the "users know it better"...
