i wondered that too, i thought gorilla glass was scratchproof but i learnt the hard way unfortunatley, i was always so careful with my phone and then one day this hairline scratch appeared right in the middle of the screen, i have idea how i got it because i'm so careful with my phone
You dont, the glass is hard as, i couldn't scratch mine if i tried. screen protector would just make the screen look worse, plus the glass is really good with finger prints screen protectors are not

Actually, anyone who thinks that Gorilla Glass is scratch proof is kidding themselves. Sure, it's pretty damn hardy but by no means is it scratch proof. It also shatters quite spectacularly.
Lol do you 2 have a sgs2? Really its probably the best quality glass I've ever seen on a phone. I don't think there's anything wrong with using a protector but it will definitely down grade the user experience on the sgs2. I work in very harsh situations sometimes, always put it in the same pocket as my keys by mistake, kids played with it. Not a single mark. Remember not all gorilla glass is the same. The coating makes a difference also

the one i'm using isnt an expensive one, its just a cheapie from an importer, does its job well, hides the scratch pretty good too, good tip to hide scratches is put a tiny bit of water on the protector before applying and then use a cloth to push out the water, any scratches will be filled with water making them pretty much invisible under the screen protector
Hey guys, having bought a clarivue protector for this. I have to say...STAY AWAY. It doesn't cover the whole phone. I'm talking about it not covering almost 1cm near the home button. It doesn't cover anything close to the speaker and the home button. It doesn't even come close to the edge of the home button. That's a huge bit of screen to leave uncovered. When I contacted them, they said that this was to prevent bubbles and would not offer a refund. I advised that they should make this clear on their website and also put up honest photos but they declined to do so. So yea, just spreading the word. Deal with Clarivue at your own risk.
My money's with the SGP Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic. US$16.99 delivered, comes as a two pack with all application tools. Easy to apply, looks fantastic. I've been using one for the last month and love it. They're very clear and the oleophobic coating is almost as good as the OEM one.
