Hi, I am looking at buying myself a Samsung Galaxy S2. Personally, I think $1200 is too high for a phone so I dont really want to pay that. Sure I could pay cheaper and get it from an importer but if something goes wrong I would most likely be waiting weeks for it to be repaired. Anyway, I was wondering how long it took the original Samsung Galaxy to drop in price here in NZ. I mean from official shops like Vodafone and also Noel Leeming etc.

Trying to weigh up wether I should wait a few more weeks/months? to buy the SGS2, or just buy it now if it isnt going to drop soon.

*I know these are two different devices, and they might not drop in price at the same time frame*

About the same time that the SGS2 started to roll in via parallel importing..

Telecom still had it at $999 for a few weeks after I had my imported SGS2. I seriously doubt they'll do much, other than special promotions. If you're going to go on a plan it's not so bad though.

You can get the SGS2 from Expert Infotech for like $900 and if something went wrong they get sent to Samsung NZ not off shore. Ive bought probably about 6k worth of phones from them including the SGS2 and never had any issues with service.
