Hi guys.

I am having problems with my 10 day old HTC sensation randomly shutting down.
The problems began after I put CdTDroiD's nosense 1.0 on my phone; I did a full wipe and every 12 hours or so the phone would just reboot but get stuck on the 'Android' screen.

I then tried  yesterday CdTDroiD's Pyramid3D v7.4.0 again with a full wipe and still the same issues.

Has anyone else been having the same problems? could it prehaps be the Kernel?

I have posted screenshots of the phone information; hoping this helps.

I hope I can just change the Kernel but if necessary I will go back to stock everything and see if the problem goes away.

It's probably the kennel, try the stock one

okay... stock kernel is installed but it seems odd no one else is having these issues.

My Sensation is on the stock firmware and this never happens => data point.

What I meant by that is is odd nobody else is having these issues; the people I were referring to are the people with CdTDroiD's Pyramid3D v7.4.0's rom with the Kernel that came with this rom.

Guess it wasnt the Kernel, it something else as it just rebooted yet again, 2nd time today.

Restoring the original Rom that I backed up before rooting the phone.

Will see how this goes; if it still reboots I will put S-off back on and take it back to telecom.

I have been having the same problem. The phone reboots once a day on average and has happened while in different states (Listening to music, waking from sleep, browsing the market, reading forums in XDA app etc) It seems to have started when I tried P3D with 2.3.5.

May not be related but my HTC Desire had a reboot loop issue, which came back after a few months despite having been sent away for repair. It seemed to happen if it got hot or was doing something that made the processor work, this was all on stock ROM at the time, never managed to work out what it was.

It didnt happen until I had the phone for a few months, and then again a few months after I had it repaired.

So far my sensation seems to be doing good on stock ROM and kernel. I will wait a day longer then try a different custom ROM cause the stock sucks bad.

Just a quick update.

Installed Android Revolution 3.1.1 yesterday after no reboot loop on stock for over 24 hours; ran the nosense script.

Today around 22 hours after installing the revolution rom I get the same stupid reboot loop problem again.

I am thinking it might have something to do with 2.3.4? stock is 2.3.3 and I have no issues with that BUT each rom that I install that is 2.3.4 I get issues.

Might just find a rom that is 2.3.3 or just say f it and go with stock rooted.

I'm running leedroid latest (and have been since i got my phone) and haven't had an issue.

He bases everything off stock so there's less breakage!

I am on my second day with stock kernel and no reboots. Sell using P3D, but with stock kernel.

It could also be my phone; if I continue having issues I will flash everything back to stock and return it to telecom.

Remember all phones are not created equal and some can really not handle over clocking, seeing as the ROM is overclocked as stock option it could well be not handling the O/Cing. But more likely it would have been the kernel since Android Revolution is using the same one. But try the one i upload tonight and see how you go with that (if you want ;) ) i know it can be off putting having issues.

I thought it was going quite well until about 10 minutes ago; out of the blue I got stuck in a reboot loop again :-( this is on Pyramid3D v7.5.0 XE.
I haven't tried a different radio; could a new radio help?

thanks

I was going well too. I had p3d 7.4 running stock kernel and was having no reboots. Upgraded to 7.5 xe and had a reboot this morning. The phone wasn't hot or anything. I have tried wiping cache and dalvik so I will see how that goes.
