Strange issue with my brand new Samsung Galaxy S2.

I can browse the internet, send/receive emails, browse the market.  If I try and download an app, it keeps saying loading, then eventually fails.  If I swap to 3G, it downloads immediately.

Is this an issue with the phone or my wireless AP - I've never had any issues prior to this.

Quite possibly your wireless, I get the same issue at work. Can you successfully log into Google Talk? If Talk works, then the Market /should/ work too. Give it a go on another access point like a hotspot at a Caf? and see if the issue still persists.

Make sure you wait for the app screen shots to load before selecting install. That should solve the problem.

Edit:
Also, if you're rooted, try SetDNS (free app, android market). It makes the market load much quicker (for most people).

I've got the same issue - very strange. I can download from the market over wifi at work, over 3g, but not at home. Checked the appropriate ports are open, and tested opening a website through those ports.

If you go onto help on the market it's a known issue with no current resolution for my instance. Others are able to get it to work after clearing cache for specific apps in a specific order.

Cheers,

G
