Naturally unboxing etc to follow.

So far I've had a wee peek inside the lid - she's a beauty! More from me later...

@onslaught86 will be reviewing the handset after the unboxing etc is completed, so keep an eye peeled to his Twitter account for up to the minute impressions and experiences with the Razr (and of course keep an eye on the blog as his content starts to roll out).

UPDATE:

Few early thoughts going up to my Twitter account @NZtechfreak, and unboxing video up, design-wise this thing is an absolute instant-classic:

Can't wait!

Yep, contacts are good things to have :)

Nearly all of our handsets will be via Clove, I only went Mobicity for the Note because I had to have it ASAP!

First post updated with unboxing now.

Great video! Looks like a really impressive phone.

But I've been utterly spoiled by the LG Optimus 3D. I'm having a really hard time getting excited about 'flat' phones.

:-)

Razr vs Samsung Galaxy S2 - which screen is best? The razr has the higher resolution, but still suffers from pentile shortcomings. Which screen is best for small text?

Review is upcoming from AndroidNZ.net editor @onslaught86 - follow him for up to the minute impressions and experiences if you are hanging out for the review (which will roll out in instalments commencing shortly).

In my two days with the device I founds lots to like, and a fair amount to dislike too.

I made a Clove Technologies YouTube video on it if you want more details. I don't think this in any way replaces the in depth review coming from Nik given it's based on a limited experience with the device, but might give you some idea about whether it's pros vs cons tally up right for you if you need info to make a decision now. Worth stating that it's issues are virtually all software based, which means with custom ROMs the Razr is likely to be quite formidable.

This is a review of the Razr from the UK.

http://www.reghardware.com/2011/11/15/review_motorola_razr_android_smartphone/

To me it looks like a wicked phone with one major flaw, the battery is not swap-able.

The more I use my Defy the more things I use my Defy for the faster the battery runs down. I'm charging about four times a week up from twice a week when I got it in March. Add to that the battery is the first thing on most phones to go and for me this is a major draw-back.

If it was not for this one thing it would probably be at the top of my upgrade wishlist.

Having said that the iPhone's battery is not swap-able so this may be like the iPhone killer we have been waiting for.

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?
