For those of you who may be interested, I have been informed by Harvey Norman NZ that the 3G version of the original Asus Transformer, the TF101G, will be coming to Harvey Norman NZ Stores mid to late December.

Harvey Norman Australia already stock them @ AU$788
http://www.harveynorman.com.au/asus-eee-pad-transformer-tf101-32gb-3g-tablet.html

If you compare the AU price for the non-3g 32gb model, with the NZ price of the non-3g 32gb model, the NZ price is approx 1.44 times the AU price.
http://www.harveynorman.com.au/asus-eee-pad-transformer-tf-gb-tablet-1.html
vs
http://www.harveynorman.co.nz/asus-eee-pad-transformer-32gb-with-docking-station.html

So the NZ 3g version could be between $1100-$1200

A shame that NZ will probably have to wait another 2-3 months for the newer Transformer Prime.

It's hard to justify spending $1000+ on an obsolete device... :-|

That pricing sounds a bit extreme considering I just saw the Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G for 899 in some harvey normal brochure

Nope is definitely the 3G version, 16GB model for $897 and 32GB for $1149 while the Wi-Fi version is just $738

The price I put in the original post was only an estimate I made, for the 32gb 3g transformer model.

So would be in comparison to the 32gb 3g samsung tab.

Why wait for the Prime to come to NZ? Pre-order from Clove and be happy!

Mine should be arriving sometime in January, assuming I don't get trigger happy and pay too much to get from Ebay on their US release...

I assume some people would want a 3G capable tablet instead of Wi-Fi only; even if I expect the Prime 32GB to be around that price
