Being a big Galaxy S user and fan, when my daughter said she couldnt decide between getting a new phone or a GPS to find her way around Auckland, I started looking for options.

I noticed a couple of suppliers were offering then Galaxy Ace (VF and Dick Smith) but Dick Smith were including Navigon Software with OZ and NZ maps.

At $399 I bought one took it home and tried it out. It initially told me that the Navigon software was not available In my country but with help from the Dick Smiths buyers, The Navigon software automatically loaded an update via WiFi (it appears that the sim card MUST be inserted even to load the initial update by WiFi. I assume to confirm that I am in either OZ or NZ as the option is only marketed in these countries.).

I am impressed with the performance as its like a mini Galaxy S with free GPS mapping.
