Hi guys,
I have the stock Telecom ROM which I've rooted because I wanted to install swype updates. I'm not an Android expert but I managed to do this successfully.

My questions:
Will I still get the ICS update through Kies or OTA when Telecom put one out? And does it matter that I'm now on 2degrees?
Also, if I don't want to wait until then, is there a simple guide somewhere that can teach me how to upgrade to the European ICS that was released today? I'd need pretty basic instruction.

OTA usually works fine even if the phone is rooted, but the update will probably fail if you've installed a replacement recovery (e.g. CWM).

You will need to re-root the phone after the update.

Easiest way to flash the ICS version is to buy MobileOdin, put the .tar.md5 file on the sdcard, then just point MobileOdin at it and tell it to re-root the phone, and it'll go and do it. Super simple, plus you can tell it to install the CWM recovery while it's at it.

Not sure if it does a datawipe in the process or not, would pay to backup your stuff beforehand just in case.
