Got refund from WHS on my 16GB blue pre-order, went to Noel Leeming Moorhouse Ave in Christchurch. They had to double check on discount, but I also now have a receipt for a Blue 16GB SGS3 purchase price after 20% discount $839.20 plus 33 flybuys.

Now the waiting starts again.

How long do you have to wait for?

No idea now - will just take it as it comes as have decided firmly I'd rather have blue instead of white. Guy at Noel Leeming was really helpful, but seemed to be a hive of random numbers - 9 million units were recalled and they're only making 3 million a month, so could be 3 months until they get stock in - think I'll go by the previous numbers thrown around in posts here rather than his numbers :)

BTW didn't ask about stock of whites there in case anyone was wondering. They didn't have a display model.

Well i went into telecom in albany mall today at about 3pm and had a look at the display one, notice a sign saying "out of stock" then the guy that sold me my SG2 back in Oct last year came over and said "I remember you and there is one out back for you"

So terminated my contract from Oct ($650) signed up again for free phone.

Already sold the s2 for $450
so cheap upgrade of $200

well saw you guys say on here about Noel Leemings 20% off so went in and had a play with demo, very impressed so pre paid for blue one. The test will be how long can I hold out for given the delay maybe weeks now, any bets :)

Actually liked the stock rom as well but they will most likely change given the amount of new roms that are popping up.

The HOX was beside it so I tried to see if I could tell the differance but the battery went flat on it, go figure but the S3 looked better in white the the HOX (IMHO) and thought that all the talk about the looks of S3 were premature and most likely emotional based (think it was started by HOX and 4S users )

Oh 1 thing that makes it a win in my books (and way better than s2)

IS THE LED
I have missed it sooo much from the time i had my nexus one

Now I can tell what kind of thing I have missed by what colour the LED is.

i.e. got it so facebook is blue, email is green and text message is pink

The S3 looks pretty bad in pictures, and honestly the back cover doesn't look much better IRL. But when you realise it fits better in the hand and that nice metallic rim, you tend to forget about all that

I think you are right about the metallic ring it does make a diferance, would be nice to see the blue one but not sure Ill be able to hold out given the rumours about how long they will be.
