Phone is amazing in person. Telecom cut my simcard to fit into it. Just on charge atm but so far so good.

Now need a nice case and perhaps a microSD card. Don't think I wan't a screen protector.

Can anyone confirm the phone is quad band 3G? Shouldn't make any difference what network it is used on should it?

Yet there has been mentions of "Vodafone" versions. Is this just sales person ignorance?

It's quand band mate, use it on whatever network you want. My wife got me one yesterday, she's on 2degrees, I'm on Telecom, works perfectly.

Yes. Works with any network. Vodafone and Telecom versions could just mean the OS will modified for that particular network with relevant apps. Although this might not be the case this time and could just be a supplier of the stock.

The version I got from WHS had a 2degrees sticker on it but no sign of the OS having and 2degrees specific apps. So must be a universal edition?

Call customer service and ask for track and trace. All web order dispatched with Sub60',and they pay extra to get it to you on Saturday. I'm sure they would like to know that.

@Und3f, I presume your pre order was for a white S3, yes.

Currently in Dubai and the stores here have no stock of S3 phones. Not even a display model.

I'd like to think my website present order with WHS will be on my desk when I return on Wednesday, but as it's for Pebble Blue, I suspect I'll have to be patient.

To the person who got WHS to match competitors price, had you pre ordered and not yet received the S3? Cheers.

I rang the Warehouse Stationery Albany store and spoke to a nice chap called James. When I told him about the Noel Leeming's 20% off sale he said he would match that and when I mentioned this forum and people getting an extra 5% off he agreed to that too. So ended up costing me $797. Just have to wait 2 - 3 weeks now for delivery.

When I went in to pay they tried to sell me a "No Worries Warranty" for $80. Gives me an extra 2 years warranty as well as "fair wear and tear cover". They said this wouldn't cover a smashed screen, which is my main worry, so don't think I will get this extra warranty, I'll just make use of the Consumer Guarantees Act if the phone dies outside it's normal warranty. Are there any insurance policies that cover smashed screens?

I bought mine from JB. It has a VF CSC but I am using an XT sim card without any problems.

There is no VF guff on the phone, except the call settings has some pre-loaded VF voicemail settings on it, but once you put in the Telecom voice message phone number in +64 8308 3210 it uses the Telecom voice settings.

Cheers
